President Ong presides over the last Club Assembly of the Rotary year. Several areas of club activity were discussed as we prepare for the upcoming Installation Dinner of our new President and the results of the membership satisfaction survey were shared.
In addition to our community service projects and weekly bread distribution, an important part of our monthly calendar is fellowship. We gathered this month at Putien at Ion Orchard for a fun evening with our club members.
Our joint service project with our sister club in Thailand was showcased at the recent District Conference in Thailand. Another fine example of our commitment to Service Above Self and the importance of building international goodwill and friendship through all that we do!
April was a busy month for the Rotary Club of Singapore North. In addition to our weekly “Loaf of Love” food distribution, club members participated in our partner Northwheel wheelchair repair project and we were represented at the Rotary Leadership Institute.
Club members and spouses travelled to Thailand in February to mark the 30th Anniversay Celebration for one of our sister Clubs.
Several members of our Club had the privilege of celebrating the Lunar New Year with our Prime Minister and our friends from the Teck Ghee Community Center (our partner in our weekly food distribution program “A Loaf of Love”).

Our club enjoyed our annual Christmas fellowship dinner on Thursday evening, 22 December at the Carlton City Hotel. We were joined by AG Jeffrey Chan and his lovely wife and we had spouses, children and grandchildren in attendance. It was a great night of food, fellowship and our Rotary family!
The Rotary Club of Singapore North held our Annual General Meeting on Friday, 16 December at the Singapore Swimming Club. In addition to a large turnout of our members we were also joined by AG Jeffery Chan of the Rotary Club of Raffles City and Visiting Rotarian Peter Clements of the Rotary Club of Melbourne, Australia. It was our pleasure to host them as we celebrated the first six months of President Wee Heng Ong’s tenure and welcomed the members of the Board for next year.
