This year, Rotary International President Ian Riseley challenged all Rotarians to plant a tree as a symbol of RI’s commitment to our environment. The clubs of Singapore organised a tree planting activity on Saturday 9 June in Bintan, Indonesia. 26 clubs participated and members of our club travelled over to plant the 15 trees donated by club members. We are proud to report that our members contributed the second highest number of trees of any of the participating clubs!
The event provided not only an opportunity for us to support Rotary International ‘s environmental initiative but also provided a great opportunity for us to share fellowship with over 100 Rotarians from the 26 clubs.
